• Most are verticle fitting so hidden when not in use
• More expensive

This type of towbar is the UK’s most common style of towbar and can be used with a range of towbar mounted accessories:

• Can be used with most accessories
• Versatile
• Fits with most cycle carriers
• More likely to be picked up by reverse sensors, particularly if they are low down in the bumper

This type of towbar is becoming more common in the UK, it is less likely to be picked by reverse sensors:

• Al-Ko stabilizer compatible
• Less likely to set off reverse sensors
• Less bulky
• Only compatible with clamp on cycle carriers
